01Frequently asked questions
On-site repair
Yes. On weekdays we drive to your home or workplace by appointment and repair it there, with you present. Free call-out across all of Amsterdam, and up to ten kilometres beyond it as well.
Up to fifty kilometres from where we set off. Call-out fee applies beyond ten kilometres and is listed per band on the on-location page. Enter your postcode and you get the answer for your address straight away.
You get a two-hour arrival window, and the repair itself usually takes fifteen to thirty minutes. Those are two different things: the window is wider because it includes driving and parking.
Yes, somebody has to be at home or at the office to hand the device over and enter the passcode. That is also the advantage: your device does not leave with us and you see what happens.
Then we say so, and we do not simply take it with us. If it can be done in the workshop we agree that with you; if it cannot be done at all, you do not pay for a repair that did not happen. We may charge for the journey, but we say that beforehand and never afterwards.
Liquid damage and problems with signal and network go to the workshop: they need a bench, measuring equipment or drying time. You see it while booking, not afterwards.
02Frequently asked questions
In-store repair
At weekends, yes. The store at Beverwijk Bazaar is open on Saturday and Sunday and you can simply walk in. On weekdays the van is out on the road and we come to you.
The Bazaar is made up of several halls with a number above each entrance. Find the hall first, then the unit number; the store page has the route and a link to Google Maps.
Usually. A repair in the store takes about half an hour. If the part is not there, you hear that straight away and we agree a time.

Price, warranty and paying
For everything we hold a fixed price for: you see the total including VAT before you confirm. Call-out fee is a separate line inside that total. If we have no fixed price, we say so and you get a personal quote first.
Not without you knowing. If something else turns out to be needed, we stop, explain what it is and what it costs, and only continue once you say yes.
Pay after the repair, not before. On the spot or through a payment link; you always get an invoice with the VAT on it.
6 months warranty, on every part we replace and on the work we do on it. You get it in writing, and if something goes wrong within that period we put it right at no cost.
We work with different qualities of part and you choose which one goes in. Each option says what it is and what the difference means in practice. We do not call anything original without the supplier paperwork to back it up.
Free cancellation up to 2 hours before your appointment, at no cost. If it turns out later that it does not work, call or message us — we currently charge no cancellation fee and no no-show fee.
We check devices against the national register of stolen equipment. That protects you as much as us: it is exactly why you can trust somebody at the door who takes your device to the bench.
Since June 2025 the EU energy label on a new phone or tablet carries a repairability score. It says, among other things, how easily a screen or a battery can be replaced and how long parts stay available. Useful when buying: a device with a high score is cheaper and quicker to repair later on.
Do the sums. Replacing a screen or a battery usually costs a fraction of a new device, and the rest of your phone is still fine. If your device is old and several things are failing at once, we will say so — there is nothing in it for us doing a repair you will be back for in six months.
We do not open messages, photos, mail or banking apps — none of that is needed for the test. What a technician does do, and what we keep about you, is explained on its own page.
