Accessibility statement

01What we aim for

We build this website to WCAG 2.2 level AA. That means, among other things: everything is operable by keyboard, you can see where the focus is, text stays readable when you zoom to 200%, error messages are in plain text beside the field they are about, and motion is reduced when your device asks for it.

02Where it stands now

We have been through the whole site for the things you can check in the code: the heading structure on every page, whether error messages get the attention, whether every button and field is large enough to hit with a thumb, and whether you can zoom everywhere. What that turned up has been fixed. What we have not yet had done is a test with a real screen reader and a test on a real device at 200% zoom — both are planned before launch. So this statement describes what we have checked, and says plainly what is not checked yet.

03What we already know about

The two points that used to stand here are resolved: on every form with more than one field the attention now moves to the error message, and the heading levels have been reviewed on all pages and are correct. What remains: we have not been through the site with a screen reader ourselves, and we have not tested colours and zoom on a real device, so there may be things we cannot see. If you notice one, tell us — see below.

04Run into something?

Tell us, even if it seems small. Say what you were trying to do, on which page, and with which device or assistive technology — then we can trace it. If you cannot get through on the site, call or message: everything possible here is possible by phone too.

05Why we do this

As a business with no staff and a turnover under two million euros, we fall under the micro-enterprise exemption in the European accessibility rules. We hold to this standard because it is better, not because we have to.
